Unrestricted, nonpathogenic spalting fungi are available for purchase through this website. For information on maintaining your cultures after purchase, please see our DIY section. REMEMBER: people with compromised immune systems should not work with fungi, or wood for that matter.
Please note the following:
- Prices are on a per order basis. Should you order the same fungus again at a
later date, initial charges will again apply.
-Initial cost refers to the cost of one plate. Replicate cost refers to the cost of additional plates with the same fungus within the same order. For instance, your first plate of Xylaria polymorpha will cost $100, however additional plates will cost $20 each within the same order.
-Shipping cost is not included in the price. Please contactseri.robinson@utoronto.ca for shipping estimates.
-Some fungi may not be available for shipping due to transportation restrictions and can only be obtained via pickup from the Faculty of Forestry.
-Uninoculated plates may be purchased in lots of 10 from U of T for $22 / pack.
-Multiple strains of some fungi are available, and are listed below. Strains of the same fungus can behave differently and antagonize with each other. If you are looking for zone line creation without the possibility of cross-species contamination, utilizing multiple strains of the same species is advisable.
-The list of available fungi changes monthly. Before ordering, please request an updated list.
